Laura Warriner Bray

Laura Warriner Bray is an active performer of opera, early music, and oratorio based in Dallas TX. Locally, she is often heard as a soloist with the Orpheus Chamber Singers, Orchestra of New Spain, American Baroque Opera Company, Dallas Chamber Choir, Vox Humana, the Dallas Bach Society, and New World Voices. Some of her operatic roles include the title role in Carmen, Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier, Dritte Dame/Dritte Knabe in Die Zauberflöte, Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Die Hexe in Hänsel und Gretel, The Governess in Turn of the Screw, Pitti-Sing in The Mikado, and Dorabella and Despina in Cosi fan Tutte.

Some of her solo orchestral and oratorio collaborations have included appearances with the Atlantic Classical Orchestra (Mahler 4), Turtle Creek Chorale and Richardson Symphony, (Mozart Requiem) South Dakota Chorale, (Durufle Requiem and Messiah) Ars Lyrica of Houston, (Monteverdi Vespers and Bach Magnificat) The Chiquitanos Baroque Festival in Santa Cruz, Bolivia (Missa Zipoli et Missa Courcelle) The Cervantes Festival of Guanajuanto, Mexico, and the Thüringer Stadt Orchester in Rudodlstadt, Germany (Malika) First Presbyterian Church of Dallas and Dallas Chamber Orchestra, (Mozart Vespres Solemnes) and University Park United Methodist Church and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, (Bach Mass in B Minor). Laura can be heard on recordings with the Dallas Chamber Choir, Orpheus Chamber Singers, South Dakota Chorale, the New World Voices, and the Dallas Bach Society.

Laura received her undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in Vocal Performance, and then went on to the University of North Texas where she received a masters degree in Vocal Performance and Opera. From 2011-2018, she was the head of vocal studies at Collin College in Plano, TX, and is now the music director and Minister to Children and Families at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in McKinney, TX.
