Rachel Walls

Rachel Walls is a vocalist and music educator originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. She is currently based in the Charleston, SC area. She has sung with the Taylor Festival Choir for 7 seasons and counting. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in Vocal Music Education and English Literature from Lee University and earned a Master of Education degree from the University of South Carolina. After several years of teaching music and chorus in various K-12 schools she serves on the music staff at Grace Church Cathedral in downtown Charleston. She has been featured as a soloist in various Bach cantatas, Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, The Record of John, Handel’s Messiah, and J.S. Bach’s Jesu Meine Freude.

When he sang "The Christmas Song" and accidently sang "Jack Frost roasting on an open fire" instead of "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire," or when he requested harpsichord as an accompanying instrument for the infamous "Ms. Fogarty's Christmas Cake."
