Andrea Scheulen
Andrea Scheulen is an educator, soprano, wife, and dog mom residing in Charleston, SC. She holds a B.M.ed. (2006) from Miami University (OH) and an M.A.T. (2018) from the College of Charleston where she studied voice and choral conducting with Dr. Taylor. Andrea directs the choirs and teaches piano at Gregg Middle School, where she is also the Fine Arts department head, a mentor teacher, and a cooperating teacher. She serves as a member of the Renaissance leadership team at GMS helping to develop and maintain positive climate and culture at her school. Andrea is beginning her pursuit of National Board Certification.
As a soprano, Andrea has sung in various select ensembles for 25 years. She performed the role of Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro in 2004 at Miami University. She has been a staff singer at Grace Church Cathedral for eight years and has sung with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus since 2008. She has been an active roster member of the Taylor Festival Choir for sixteen years, appearing on four recordings, including the new Pathways to Healing CD. The 2025 convention is Andrea’s third performance at an ACDA convention with the Taylor Festival Choir.
