New York City based soprano, Marina Renée Hogue, has been praised for “bringing plenty of personality as well as a terrific voice..” (A2 Downbeat) to her roles. An avid lover of contemporary opera, Ms. Hogue recently performed the world premiere of the opera, Rendezvous with Bloody Mary, singing the role of the Storyteller, as well as the role of Older Sister in the New York premiere of the opera, Who Married Star Husbands, at the Polish Consulate General. Additional operatic roles include Juliette (Romeo et Juliette), Gretel (Hansel und Gretel), Ellie (La Voix Humaine), Helena (Midsummer Night’s Dream), Aurore (Le Portrait de Manon), Nella (Gianni Schicchi), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), Kitty Hart (Dead Man Walking) ,and Madame Silberklang (Der Schauspieldirektor).
Equally at home on the concert stage, Ms.Hogue has performed as the Soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches. Marina has performed recitals in Náměšť, Czech Republic and throughout Austria, Italy, and the United States. She has been a featured soloist with Palm Beach Signature Chamber Series, as well as Opera Doral’s Concert Series.
Ms. Hogue is an alumna of the Castleton Festival Young Artist program, founded by the late Lorin Maazel, as well as the International Vocal Arts Institute, Institute Canadien d’art Vocal, and an Apprentice Artist with the Bel Canto Institute and Miami Summer Music Festival. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan under Martha Sheil and Master of Music degree from San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Cesar Ulloa. Marina is a recipient of the Francis B. Furlong scholarship and was a semi-finalist in the 2015 International Czech and Slovak Competition. Ms. Hogue’s next engagement will be singing the title role in L’incoronazione di Poppea in a film production with Killer Queen Opera.
